Welcome to the hot lunch fundraiser on-line ordering system. This application is meant to facilitate the ordering and management of school hot lunch orders for families of A.J.McLellan. If you are not registering for hot lunch please still create an account as this website will be used as our PAC website to communicate with you minutes from meetings, newsletters and fundraising opportunities.
 Hot Lunch is Back!! Welcome back, returning Dragons and a big hello to all our new friends! At the end of last year, we sent out a survey and we were blown away by the incredible response and all the gratitude you shared. It makes us want to continue doing what we do. On that note, we heard you loud and clear so here’s what we’ve got cooking this year: more variety, more vendors, and more dates (we get it, you hate packing lunches)!  Term 3 schedule will be out by Spring break. As a reminder: ordering is always optional. Pack a lunch, order lunch, or mix it up, whatever works best for your family! To register and place an order, please follow these steps: Go to https://ajmclellan.hotlunches.net/ Register for a new account (even if you've ordered last year). Click on “Students” and add each student you’re ordering for. Select your students' class/division to ensure we deliver to the right class! Under your student’s name, click “Order”. Enter the quantity for each item you wish to order. Click “Place Order” at the bottom of the page. Repeat steps 5-7 for each registered student. Choose a payment method. Payments are ALL made through PayPal using Visa, Mastercard or Direct Debit to your bank account.

FAQs
Q. How can I be a volunteer?
A. Hot lunch can’t function without our wonderful community of volunteers! Sign-ups are sent out a week ahead of hot lunch dates so be sure to follow our socials to get informed!
Q. Why can't the ordering system be opened for longer? A. Vendors need at least one week's notice to process orders and we don't have our school list finalized until the end of the second week. For added flexibility, you can pay for Term 1 and 2 by Oct 2nd or choose to wait until December to pay for Term 2.
Q. What if I don’t complete my order before the system closes on September 19th?
A. Unpaid orders will be deleted from the system within 48 hrs of the system closing. Payments received in the 48hrs after the system closes will have an extra $10 processing fee added to their total.
Q. Can I cancel my order? A. No, once payment is processed and the system is closed, we cannot issue refunds.
Q. What if my student is absent on Hot Lunch day? A. Please notify us via ajhotlunch@gmail.com by 10am on lunch days and 9am on snack days; we cannot monitor WhatsApp. Their food will be delivered to the brown table in the foyer, where it can be picked up.
Q. What if my student gets the wrong items delivered to their desk? A. They can come down to the PAC kitchen (near the gym) and the hot lunch crew will do our best to correct it! If your student is too shy to come to the kitchen, they can ask a friend, lunch supervisor, or teacher to help. We cannot help correct any issues if we aren’t informed of them during hot lunch.
Q. What if I forget what I ordered for my students? A. You can log back into your family account at any time and view past orders. You will also receive a weekly email from the system with a summary of your ordered item for that week.
Q. How are the hot lunch prices determined? A. The hot lunch team takes discounted prices from vendors, adds processing fees and a small fixed profit. Hot lunch is one of the school’s biggest fundraisers!
Q. What are the hot lunch proceeds used for? A. This is determined at the monthly PAC meeting; all parents are encouraged to attend! In the past, PAC fundraiser proceeds have gone toward expanding our playground, supplying sports equipment, providing dance lessons, and upgrading technology.
Q. What if I can’t afford hot lunch? A: Please email the school. In the past, we’ve been able support our AJ families. |
